Shack Built is looking for a Bookkeeper & Administrative Coordinator to join our growing residential remodeling team. This role is much more than bookkeeping. You'll be a key member of our team, helping manage finances, support clients, coordinate internal operations, and keep our business running efficiently.

We're a small team of eight people who genuinely enjoy working together. We believe culture matters, communication matters, and serving our clients at a high level matters. What You'll Do

As our Bookkeeper & Administrative Coordinator, you'll support nearly every area of the business.

Administrative Support

  • Answer and manage incoming office calls
  • Welcome and pre-qualify prospective clients
  • Schedule appointments and enter leads into our CRM system
  • Coordinate communication between clients and team members
  • Assist with warranty requests and client follow-up
  • Maintain subcontractor compliance documentation

Bookkeeping & Financial Management

  • Process vendor and subcontractor invoices
  • Code expenses and maintain accurate financial records
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable activities
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Assist with monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) reporting
  • Prepare weekly financial reports for leadership
  • Coordinate payments and maintain organized records
  • Assist with annual insurance audits

Marketing & Company Support

  • Coordinate marketing materials and company assets
  • Assist with social media and content review
  • Coordinate project photography and client reviews
  • Help maintain website content and company branding
  • Support special projects and team initiatives

Experience & Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working in a small business environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Knowledge of construction/remodeling is a plus
  • Experience with construction management software, JobTread, is a huge plus.

Experience in construction or remodeling is helpful but not required.
